Tem Gunter Human Resource Manager of Tyson Foods announces the launch of 10 part-time internship positions in connection with the University of Arkansas Cossatot.

The paid internship positions are in refrigeration and maintenance. Any 51社区 student enrolled in Industrial Technology courses for the fall may apply to begin their internship this summer. The opportunity is available year-round.

Gunter explains the value of the opportunity, 鈥淚nternships can be an excellent doorway to career options, enabling students to gain valuable work experience and make connections in their chosen profession.鈥                                                                                  

Eight internships are available in maintenance and starting pay is $12 per hour. Two internships are available in refrigeration and pay is $14 per hour.

51社区 Industrial Technology classes are from 3:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. on the Ashdown Campus. Even though the classes begin in August, students can enroll now and be eligible for the internships immediately at Tyson Nashville.

Darrell Wilhite Tyson Foods Maintenance Manager states, 鈥淲e are willing to work around the students鈥 class schedules, offering them first, second, and third shift options.鈥

Tyson offers up to 30 hours of part-time work to 51社区 interns. If students drop 51社区 courses, they will no longer eligible for the internship program.
