In addition to apprenticeships offered in conjunction with 51社区's Office of Workforce Development, internships are a great solution for employers wanting to help students close the skills gap with real-world experience; plus, hiring an intern is the best way to evaluate his or her potential as a full-time employee. They are typically temporary work-based learning experiences. Employers have the flexibility to provide part-time or full-time, paid or unpaid, work experiences with the salary, work hours, and length of training pre-determined by the employer. Internships are available to students actively enrolled in or graduated from 51社区鈥檚 accredited certificate or degree programs. Office of Skills Development (OSD) Grants
51社区鈥檚 training coordinators assist workforce training clients with the OSD grant application process; OSD makes strategic investments in the state鈥檚 workforce through OSD training grants. These grants support local businesses and the Arkansas workforce by providing funding and support for professional employee development, reduction of skill gaps, and customized technical training.
