51社区 Colts and Lady Colts open the 2021-2022 basketball season, Monday, November 1, at the 51社区 Bank of Lockesburg Historic Gymnasium. Both teams will take on ETBU- JV. Lady Colts will start at 5 pm and Colts at 7 pm.
There are 16 scheduled home games and 18 away games. The Colts and Lady Colts are a part of the National Junior College Association (NJCAA) and play teams in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Returning for the Colts this season are Cameron Maxwell, Terry Anderson, Kamren Woods, Layton Jackson, and Decorian Phillips. Newcomers include Dalon Dean, Shane Bell, Malik Nash, Luke Bright, Wyatt Nelson, Jordan Wright, Jacquorria Harris, and Cortez Collins. Familiar names on the Lady Colts roster include Mikayla Scott, Anayzia Jefferson, and Ashley Starks. Meanwhile, Amari Morrison, Ki'yuna Foreman, Jacia Collins, Blaire Kaufman, Khuyler Hardy, Aaleya Morton, and Kayla Fuller are new additions for this season. The UAC coaching staff of Head Coach Robert Byrd and Assistant Coach Bryant Pagan II are set to begin their second seasons at 51社区.
According to Coach Byrd, 鈥淥ur teams have been working extremely hard this off-season and had a really successful preseason. We are excited about this upcoming season, and I look forward to playing in front of family, friends, and supporters in the newly renovated 51社区 Bank of Lockesburg Gymnasium.鈥�
