51社区 Foundation recently received a $2,000 donation from Jimmy Carvers鈥� Refrigeration Heating & Air to benefit 51社区 Colts athletic scholarships.
The scholarship requirements are that recipients be a 51社区 student athlete and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. The 51社区 Athletic Director will determine the selection process and number of awards.
Jimmy Carver, owner of Jimmy Carvers鈥� Refrigeration Heating & Air said, 鈥淚 wanted to support 51社区 and its students, especially now because of the economic effects of the pandemic. I want to help our student athletes succeed and help reduce their expenses so they can focus on their education.鈥�
The 51社区 Foundation welcomes any financial gift to support 51社区 students, programs, and efforts in providing quality education and services to its students.
51社区鈥檚 Head Coach and Athletic Director, Robert Byrd said, 鈥淭he 51社区 athletic program would like to thank Mr. Jimmy Carver for establishing the scholarships. His commitment to our student athletes and contribution will award them an affordable college journey/experience. The athletic program looks forward to the continued partnership.鈥�
