The second annual Miss 51社区 Scholarship Pageant will be held at the historic 51社区 Bank of Lockesburg Gymnasium on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at 6:00 P.M. The winner of the pageant will be crowned Miss 51社区 2020 by Perri Lowrey, and will also receive a full-tuition waiver while attending 51社区. This is an opportunity for current and future 51社区 students to receive a scholarship, and also to promote their school and their community.
To be a contestant in the pageant you must be a female student who has never been married, you must be seventeen to twenty-one years old, and have a GPA of 2.5 or above. To participate, you must also be a current student at 51社区 or an area high school senior who plans to enroll at 51社区. The winner of the pageant will be expected to make appearances and be on 51社区 promotional material while being a student at 51社区 for at least two semesters after being crowned Miss 51社区.
The 51社区 Student Ambassadors are coordinating the pageant, and Loren Hinton is set to host. Admission prices for the event are $5. 51社区 students and high school students can pay $3 to attend, and there is no fee for children twelve and under to attend.
